Setting up the Apple iPhone for import

The iPhone requires a 2-step process to play MP3s. If Cathedral to Chapel is properly configured, the program sends the songs along with a configuration file (called a .json file) to your iCloud. Then the properly-configured iPhone uses a “Shortcuts” script to move the files to the iPhone. Once your PC and iPhone are configured, this will be a very simple process.

You will need the login credentials for your iPhone to set up your PC to point to your iCloud. Since you have an iPhone you already have an iCloud account. The credentials for your iCloud are the same as for your phone.

Follow the instructions in in strict sequence. The good news is that once this is set up, the iPhone runs a script to move these files to the iPhone and is ready to be used. The first button below provides written instructions on the one-time setup. The second button points to a YouTube video showing these steps. The third button should be accessed from the iPhone to download the “Shortcuts” script to move the files from iCloud to the iPhone.
